A True Love - Hate Relationship

The above is the remains of a battery charger for my Nikon.

Mr. Spike Lee took it upon himself to destroy the cord...I really believe it was Spike Spite!

The weather has been somewhat rainy the past couple of day...so I have not taken him to the dog park...hence his retaliation.

He would not even look at me! Well he was banned to Little H's room last night...a night on the floor!

No cord chewing rat is sleeping in my bed...well at least for a night or two.

No You Can Not Touch Me!

It has finally happened. I am no longer allowed to hug or touch in any manner my son. Yep, Little H informed me yesterday as I reached over to tickle his ear that I am not allowed to touch him. As he jerked his body away from me I was told "Not cool Mom! I am a teenager now you can't touch me as if I was a little kid". I asked him if I could hug him...the answer was negative.

Oh well I will get a hug when he is 17 or 18 or I just might sneak some stealth ninja moves on him :)

At lest I have Little M...I don't think girls go through this...but please let me know if I am wrong so I can prepare myself.

O Yea, O Yea...we have one!

We have a Dog Park! WooHoo!!!! And it is a mile or less from my house...just maybe the assalanche will benefit :)

So of course Mr. Spike Lee and I had to check it out.

He loved it! To have the freedom of no leash he was in heaven, sniffing, marking and playing fetch in a large outdoor area.

Now all of this lasted a whopping 30 minutes and then Spike jumped in my lap and in his own way stated that He was done.

This is where Mr. Spike Lee is now...

I guess he needs to work on his fitness level as much as I need to lol.

HaHa I Got You Now

Being that it is Tuesday I was going to blog about a Tuesday Thought - My Laundry...I will give you the shot of it and yes I am still working on the every breeding mound.

I have got to get in the habit of doing laundry more often than every other week....geezzzzz

Alright now that is out of the way, on to what transpired this morning.

The AM car ride dropping off the kids.

I would imaging other parents do the same thing as I do...the car ride is a great tool for in depth discussion. Hey, the kids are less than a foot away, strapped in, doors locked and in a moving vehicle going 35mph minimum! They are all mine (haha insert evil laugh) to plant those little seeds of thought into their ever expanding brains.

The car ride started out typical...Little M complaining (she always has a complaint, I just need to get a box so she can write them out and I will review at my leisure) about Little H and his I-Pod being to loud. He finally conceded and turned it off till we dropped her off.

As we are pulling out of the school I made a comment to him.

Me: I would really love to live in a "Walking City"

H: What do you mean?

Me: A city were a car is really not used everyday. A city where you can walk to most of the places you need to go to.

H: Yea! That's the kind of city I want to live in. Why don't we move.

Me: Well I can't because of the custody agreement with your dad.

H: That sucks...maybe when she (Little M) is older she will want to live with you full time too.

Me: She might...but I sure do dread when she is wanting to date.

H: Are you going to let her?

Me: Not till she is 16 and not sure about that, it is just different with girls...shouldn't be but it is.

H: I hear ya...we really don't want her to end up pregnant.

OK now this is where the bell is going DING DING in my head.

Me: Yep that is right and that is why I am already talking to her about things like that...just like I have with you. What have you and I talked about?

H: I don't know

Me: Oh come on H

H: a giggle here...always wear protection keep it wrapped up because you never know what you might get...Aids or an STD and I can get a girl pregnant.

Me: That's right! And honestly you really want to wait until you find someone you truly love. How many little girls have you "gone with" this past year or so?

H: five

Me: and with each one you really thought that was the one?

H: yea

Me: But then your feelings change...so why would you want to risk giving your first time to someone that may not end up being the one for you.

H: yea

Me: Plus why would you want to risk getting an STD that you would later have to explain to your future wife...and have to wear protection with her all the time and the possibility of passing some STD or disease to your unborn child.

H: That can really happen?

Me: Think about it. if you give it to your wife or whoever and then she has a child????

H: hmmmm ok...I am going to listen to my I-Pod now.

So another seed of thought planted!

Nothing Exciting

My oldest Big T went off to the the beach again (3rd time this summer) for the long weekend. I can tell he has matured some...just a year or two ago he would have been irritated at my worrying. Now he just laughs and indulges me. Even though he is vacationing/parting (we all know what 20 year olds are doing at the beach) with a group of "dude's" he will still call me and let me know he is OK. He will respond to my many unnecessary calls and texts with a laugh and undertone of "yes mama bear all is well with me". So today is a sit and wait day for me...can't take the deep breath till he pulls up to the house lol.

This weekend has been fairly quiet. I finally got a haircut on Friday (it had been almost a year lol) but after the haircut the gray was extremely noticeable...so S-man helped me color my hair hehehe. It was funny to see his big hands in those little rubber gloves and his awkwardness of trying to get the dye all over my hair. He did a good job after I told him do not to rub the solution in small circles on my hair (all I could imagine was tiny blobs of knotted hair lol). Little H then decided that I was scary looking with the dye in my hair and came to the conclusion that it would be a good subject for video tapping (hmmmm I must remember to delete that).

S-man got a new game for the Guitar Hero so Saturday was spent trying to excel through the levels of a game that I am sure makes many people think they are the hottest guitar player ever. I always wonder about that when I play the game. I am sure that the games lets people actively participate in the fantasy of being a rock and roll star...but green, red, yellow and blue are not the same as actual notes lol. But no harm done - live the fantasy "gamers" and enjoy.

Little M came back home Sunday. She came in as a whirlwind with a quick update on the week with her dad and the new purchase he made (a small lake lot and a rusted tin can) and the millionth breakup with his girlfriend lol. Then she was off to gather up her girlfriends and sit on the patio and gossip. That's my girl lol.

I think I will end this long weekend with laundry, editing photos, figuring out this weeks morning and afternoon pick up schedules (school is back in) and waiting for my 20 year old baby's return.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
