Fairwell 2008

2008 has been one brick wall after another so good riddance...09 is the year to shine...

Today will be a reflection of all the good in the past year and not the negative.

Because of my displaced employment I have had the opportunity to be with my children more.

Little H is back in school and loving it.

Little M has found the joy of singing.

Big T is becoming more a man than a teenager.

Big H has found true love in his daughter.

S-man has learned that too much works makes a cranky individual.

My father and I have the most remarkable friendship, one I have never experienced before and one that I hold dearly to my heart.

The S-man and I are going out tonight, have a few beers maybe a shot of jager, listen to a great band and bring the new year in focusing on the good that has happen and the greatness that will come.

Happy New Year to all...the sky is the limit cause "09 is the year to shine"!

Mixed Nuts for Christmas

It is impossible to get all three in a shot with out at least one acting a fool...but hey its alright they are my nuts.

All in all we had a very good unemployed Christmas, the kids were happy and please (for the most part) and that is all that matters to me.

We have had some changes here in our little part of the world...since the economic crises has not subsided S-man has moved in...YEP! something I never thought I would do again, at least not till the children were grown and gone. After 17 years of marriage I really did not think I would ever live with another man but sometimes we just have to roll with the flow. And honestly I do not want to become part of the national foreclosure statics. So I took S-man up on his offer (which was given many many times over the years) and we have combined two households into an 1,100 square foot townhouse lol. Our lovely 3 bedroom, one bath, poolside home is now occupied by four cats, one dog, one 13 year old male, one 10 year old female, one 20 year old male, one 41 year old female and one 34 year old male. Now the 10 year old female does go to her dads every other week and the 20 year old male floats from friends, dads to here (I am sure he gets tired of the couch) but he seems to be here more than not. Yes it is crowded but there is food, heat, hot water and love so all is well in our little world.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and may the new year be a magnificent one!
