Pissed? Who Me?

Ummmm...Yeah...Me

If you read the last post lonely with the kids gone. Well I can safely say that Mr. Spike Lee is too.

My couch

Yea...big ass hole!

Alright can fix this...flip it...no one will know.

What???? There is a second offense?

YES!!!!!

My absolutely favorite pair of shoes! You know...the shoes you can just look at and feel sexy...destroyed!

Mr. Spike Lee chewed the strap completely through.

Okay so what else could go wrong one ask....

The Izzy...

Missing again!

The cat that only remains outdoors 15 minutes at a time, has been gone for over 24 hours again.

Well at least someone could care less...

Midg posing

Typical she could care less about the household.

**** Update!!! During the time it took to create the post...Izz showed back up. Scared us...Spike pressed all up on the window going crazy...took me a second to recognize the face in the window. But at last my child is back home!!!!

Alone

It has been an extremely quiet week...

All three of the kids are with their dad for a family vacation. I know they are having fun with their uncle, grandmother and cousins. But good God I miss them terribly.

I have been told to enjoy the time, yet the house is just so empty.

On top of an empty house my oldest turned 21 today. Not seeing his face on the day of his birth has been hard. Regardless, I am so proud of him. He has had a hard and long road to get where he is now. My heart breaks at just the thought of all he has been through, yet swells with pride at the man he has become.

So I will go back to my still house and think of the positives...

The kids are having a blast.
My house is clean.
I can listen to Dave Matthews Band as loud as I wish and hear no complaints.

Four more nights I can do it...

Open Please

The Izz has become the constant in and out feline. If the door is not opened quick enough he becomes very vocal. Such a demanding little creature.

Had a dinner date with the most amazing man ever last night!

Couple bottles of wine, good food and the type of conversation that lifts you up...recharges your batteries.

I had to sneak a couple of shots of his bar...liquor and Mother Teresa together...cracked me up.

Random Thursday Thoughts

  • Little Big Man H needs to stop growing and he needs to stop busting the tires on his bike.
  • Corp Life has not changed...woman are all up in everybody business.
  • I have become the reigning queen of smiles and no response.
  • One would think that if you are working at a global truck/airplane engine developer that an employee could receive a keyboard that did not wobble due to a missing part...oh well we all deal with some hot trash in one form or another. I will just wobble as I strike.
  • I think a home has been found for one of my cats...once I get her fixed. The boys will be happy...there has been major talk regarding my "Crazy Cat Lady" status.
  • I am pretty sure my neighbors think I am a lesbian.

Lack of Subjects

Izzy

Do believe I need to get out.

Looking through my catalog of photos the majority are CATS. The pride is just an easy target, they are still and could care less about the constant shutter noise. The kids get upset and hide faces when they see the camera. Mr Spike Lee is usually to close or moving.

So I either start making time to get out of the house or continue on with the multiple cat photos.

With massive amounts of feline shots the "Crazy Old Cat Woman" title just might come true.

No! Head Petting

But a pat on the back is always nice.

UPDATE:

The new job is going great! A lot of sitting and observing but that is to be expected and the take charge personalty has been suppressed for the time being. All in all I am just so thankful to finally be employed.

I have had a few giggles in the fact that no matter where you work women will be women MEOW! Never understood why we do that to ourselves.

Home life is getting back into the routine of me not being here...still a few issues to work out but overall the kids have been so supportive and cooperative. Love my amazing little dependents! My main complaint is that I don't get to see Big T as much. Since he works nights and spends the weekends with the new lovely girl friend there is not much Mom time. So I text him quiet a bit just to remind him of "Hey your mother here"

He Has Evolved

The once scared kitty is now a lover of the outdoors. He is the cat that flies out the door every time it is opened. If asked to come back in he just gives the big meow and turns away. My baby has grown up.

A Couple of Slight Issues

After three full days of being back in the work force I have notice the following...

My cute little cottage is a disaster zone when I walk through the door. Above is what I would like to come home to, but that is not the case.

Second is the animals...when I walk through the door the pack/pride attack me. Now who does not love the fact that your animals miss and love you? My concern is this...all of the animals seem desperate for attention. It is not like they have been alone all day, the kids are here. So are they being ignored? I think so lol, oh well they are mine so the issue is mine. BUT! Mr. Spike Lee and I have had a love/hate relationship for close to 5 years yet since the last move things have been improving between us. He has finally become the dog I knew he could be, till I went back to work. Everyday there are signs of his accidents. Is he getting back at me or is he not getting the chance to go outside?

Since he will not tell me the truth, I think a family meeting is in order :)

Ice Cube...Who Knew

Ice Cubes...who knew it could become an issue.

Loving our 1952 Cottage we have had to make a few retro life changes. One being, there is no water line for an automatic ice maker. No big deal right?

Truly it's not a big deal, but it did give me one of those Huh????? WTH moments.

The first issue was finding ice trays. I believe it is becoming one of those obsolete items. My first try was Dollar Store...you know...where everything is a dollar. Went in thinking "Yes, spend a couple of bucks and be on our way". Ummmm No! Now there were the little phallus shaped ice mold's for water bottles. But to me that would be irritating in a glass...the constant poking of the upper lip each time a sip was taken. On to Target, again no trays just the long rod mold's. To the drug store, grocery store one disappointment after another. Now the only place left is the store I hate with a passion! Wal-Mart! After the mile long hike to enter the store and then the dodge and weave through the aisles of massive carts attached to people, at last ice CUBE trays!

Several days later I hear Little Big Man H in the kitchen banging on something. I walk in and he has an ice tray in hand slamming it down on the counter. My first thought is WTH, is he angry with something or someone? Upon my inquiry, I received the most innocent face with the statement "just trying to get the ice out". Light bulb went off...this child has never in his 14 years of life had to use an ice tray :). After showing him how to twist and dump he smiled, giggled and confessed that was a much easier way.

So who knew an ice tray would bring a new experience!

Then and Now

Time goes by so quickly.

The shot above was taken 2001...they were so little and cute.

This shot was taken June of 2009...growing up...with mood swing and irritable because they had to walk around in the heat. The Ice Cream shop calmed them down :).
